Welcome to The Surfside Homeowners Association Web Site. Surfside Estates is located on the scenic Southwest Washington Coast at the Northern end of the Long Beach Peninsula. The area is famous for its continuous 26 miles of white sand beach, fishing, oysters, kite flying and “coastal living” life style. Surfside fronts on approximately 3 miles of Pacific Ocean beach with numerous trails leading through the dunes to the beach. An internal canal system and several lakes provide freshwater recreation and home ownership. Amenities within Surfside include several cabanas located on lakes and canals, bridges over waterways and trails to access the beach. The Association stocks a warm water fishery on the canals and lakes. Trash compaction and disposal are provided at no additional charge to members. An RV storage lot allows low cost storage of vehicles. Water service is included in member dues and assessments. The Association employs a deputy sheriff to provide increased security and traffic enforcement. Covenants apply to construction and common “good neighbor” practices. The SHOA office provides administrative offices as well as meeting facilities. Surfside Home Owners Association is a private, non-profit, with nearly 2,000 members who own 2,800 lots with many members owning more than one lot. It has a budget of just over $1 million dollars per year. It employs ten people who are responsible for water system and grounds maintenance, patrol covenant enforcement, trash compaction, and member services and volunteer committee support. The Association is governed by a nine members Board of Trustees and uses volunteers to operate 18 committees including architectural, grievance, tree height, fish and waterways, and emergency planning. The stunning natural beauty of the beach is supplemented by numerous tourism activities. If you tire of walking the beach, looking at panoramic sunsets, or marveling at the power of winter Pacific storms you can visit nearby Oysterville with its 1860’s homes, church, and school or drive south to Long Beach with shops, restaurants, amusement rides and games, or visit museums dedicated to maritime history or the Lewis and Clark expedition. We are confident you will enjoy coastal living at its best in Surfside and welcome you to our community.
